JOHN STEWART JOINS THE TOP GREEN TEAM IN SPAIN

To support this momentum, we are delighted to welcome John Stewart to the Top Green Spain sales team. A recognised professional in the sector, John has extensive international experience gained in golf, professional sports grounds and high-level turf management. His career has taken him to the United States as well as to prestigious football and golf clubs across Europe, before moving into technical and sales roles specialising in turf seeds.

A unique FIFA experience for our customers

Recently, John also took part in one of the most demanding projects in the world of sports turf, working for FIFA in Mexico as part of the preparations for the pitches hosting the 2026 international football tournament. For six weeks, he oversaw the maintenance of the playing surfaces at the Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, as well as several official training centres used by the national teams. In particularly challenging weather conditions, characterised by heavy rain and extremely high quality standards, he helped to ensure that the pitches met the strictest standards in world football. This experience also confirmed the importance of grass variety selection in the success of major sporting events.

“Working at a FIFA World Cup is a dream come true for any sports turf professional. This experience has allowed me to exchange ideas with some of the world’s leading specialists and tackle exceptional technical challenges in demanding conditions.” John Stewart, Top Green Spain
