Throughout the 2026 growing season, the EC-AM5 has been operating at Loeffen, a turfgrass producer in the Netherlands. The autonomous mower is currently assigned to a section of the farm covering approximately 50 hectares, divided across eight different fields.
Equipped with a 5.13-metre mowing deck and a mowing capacity of up to 5 hectares per hour, the EC-AM5 is designed for high-capacity mowing on turfgrass production farms. Its route planning software allows the mower to operate autonomously within individual fields.
The final step: autonomous field-to-field navigation
Eco Clipper is currently preparing the next major hardware and software update: automatic navigation between fields. This functionality is scheduled for implementation in autumn 2026.
Once implemented, the EC-AM5 will be able to navigate autonomously between adjacent fields and fields connected by private farm roads. This will eliminate the need for an operator to manually relocate the mower between these fields.
With autonomous field-to-field navigation, the EC-AM5 will be able to mow multiple fields consecutively, significantly extending its operating time without human intervention.
